NYC Snowstorm

Hello Boardbuddies: Well, here we are again. Another winter season and another snowstorm. It started snowing here in Syosset Long Island around 8:15 AM. It is now 8:45 AM and it is snowing heavily and steadily. I hope this storm passes quickly as predicted by forecasters. I hope all of you ride out this storm without problems.  Oh yes..my kitchen is in the middle of being renovated and it is gutted. We are forced to go out constantly for meals or have food delivered. This is not fun! Be well. DrSteve

That don't sound good. Hope you get over it ASAP. Down here in N.W.S.C.it's been raining for four days in a row ! I guess it's better than snow.Today,Tue.the sun finally came out. It's averaging about 55 during the day,and about 35 to 40 at night down here.Mild winters comparred to N.Y.
P.S.------ I still miss the snow, but not the after affects of it.

Re: NYC Snowstorm

Another winter season is upon us. We have been cold out here in the desert., the upper 20's at night  then warms up to the 50 days.
Dr. Steve, I hope your renovation goes well. Lousy timing with the snow on top of it all.

Re: NYC Snowstorm

Out here in SW Missouri. we got a 2 day total of almost 2 feet of snow and ice. Travelling is treacherous and nighttime temps are at freezing or below.  We don't usually get weather this severe and this amount of snow is usually what we get for the whole winter.  Hang on Dr. Steve, it will soon pass.  Have you called CHICKEN DELIGHT for delivery yet??

Re: NYC Snowstorm

Charlie,Jimbo & ed: I'm a lot more jealous of your weather (except for ed..brrrrrrrrr). It's 1 PM and snowing lightly. I estimate about 2 inches of heavy wet snow so far. Enough to have to clean your car off with. Problem is that tonight the temps are supposed to drop well below freezing (20's brrrrr) and the roads will become icy and treacherous to drive on. Ed I am running out of different food delivery services. As for Chicken Delight (which I miss and loved), sadly just about all of them are gone except for the only surviving one that I know of which is the one in Westbury L.I. Problem is they won't deliver to me as I am too far away. Oh well I guess it's pizza & hero's again. By the way if any of you need saw dust just say the word and I will mail you some(LOL).This renovation is so messy. Hope for it to be done by the end of this week! Regards to all.DrSteve

Re: NYC Snowstorm

Dr Steve--I had my kitchen gutted & renovated when I lived in Kings Park. I remember the process w/displeasure, it seemed to take forever w/o running h2o in the kitchen. But it was so worth it when it was complete. I was lucky enough to have it done in April--they used the saws mostly outside & kept the saw dust to a minimum inside. Hang in there. It's so much fun to cook in a new kitchen. It'll be worth the wait.

Re: NYC Snowstorm

Olivia: Thanks for your support....I hope it will be worth all the mess, inconvenience and cold temperatures inside my home (as they had to leave the front door open for most of the day 8-4:30 and it's in the 20's outside). I'm afraid to see my heating bill for this month as I have oil heat!) Dr brrrrrSteve
