Rockaway Queens Protestant Home for Girls (1896-1907)

Looking for records for my great grandmother who oral histories told us was placed in one of these homes as a young girl, but have no idea what the home's name was.  I know of a St John's Home for Boys, but this is a Roman Catholic boys orphanage, and my grandmother was clear that her mother was in a Protestant home.  She explained to her daughters its how she knew so many Protestant Church Hymns.  Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
