The Tyger (Adriaen Block's ship)

I am new here but have been a New York History fan for quite a few years.  I am, however, only now starting Burrows and Wallace's monumental "Gotham", I guess better late than never.  I am intrigued about the "Tyger", Adriaen Block's ship which burnt near present day intersection of Greenwich and Dey Streets.

The only article on Wikipedia of note, in my opinion, is this one:
http://www.naturalhistorymag.com/picks-from-the-past/171517/disappearance-of-the-historic-ship-tijger?page=2

In "Gotham" the authors state in the first footnote of p. 19 that much of the Tyger is still where it lays buried, apart from decay and the parts sawn off for preservation after being discovered in 1916.  Has there been any re-discovery post 9-11, or addendum to the footnote?
