Flea Circus

Does anyone remember a flea circus? When & was very young, my father would take me into the city on the weekend to see a flea circus. I think there were a few of them. We went to one on the street. As a kid, I was amazed. Fleas pulling carts, riding bicycles. As an adult, I can't believe they were real. But I still can't figure out how they did it. So much more interesting than video games. And I got to ride on a "subway train"  & eat a delicious Sabrett  out of murky water. Going home, I got Spanish peanuts out of the vending machine in the subway station. Wonderful, inexpensive, innocent fun.

I remember one store  that was on 42nd.St. near 7th ave.  They had a flea that could ride a bike.
I was very young and was very amazed. How could anyone train a flea to do that??
