Three Village Historical Society

The Three Village Historical Society was founded in 1964 by community members who believe in the power of local history to understand our cultural heritage and shape our future. The Regents of the University of the State of New York granted the Society a Provisional Charter in 1966 and an Absolute Charter on September 27, 1968.

The mission of the Three Village Historical Society is to work within the community to explore local history through education. Educational programs are developed by collecting and preserving artifacts, documents, and other materials of local significance and by doing research about history of the people who have lived in the Three Village area from earliest habitation to the present. Certain archival holdings such as photographs and census data have been digitized and can be seen on the Three Village Historical Society archives page: https://www.tvhs.org/archives
