The museum complex consists of the main home of shipbuilder John T. Mather with antiques, furniture, and paintings by William Davis of the boats, boat building, and ship yards of the Bayles and Willse family. The outbuildings include a country store, tool shed, butcher and barber shops, post office, carriage house, marine barn with diorama, sail loft, and Clock Museum and school consisting of 200 unique clocks from the Ross Spinney collection. The Society’s Archives reserves, and makes available to researchers, deeds, maps, correspondences, ship logs, postcards, diaries, and photographs of local persons and businesses.
