Sea Cliff Village Museum

Following the celebration of the American bicentennial in 1976, a number of Sea Cliff residents decided to form the Sea Cliff Village Museum in an effort to preserve the village’s history. The museum was officially founded and chartered by the State of New York in 1979, with Charles Hurley serving as the first president of museum’s board of trustees.

The Sea Cliff Village Museum’s collections include both archives and artifacts, including a vast collection of documents, photographs, artifacts, tools, and art. The archive is particularly strong in early twentieth century photographs of the village and is a valuable resource regularly used by writers, genealogists and students.
